Art happens for me everyday, be it painting, assemblage, writing or photographing. I think in art and I dream in art. Creativity flows through my veins. I usually can't physically keep up with all the images and ideas that flood my brain. I paint things that make me happy and I try to capture the emotion or the feeling, in say, the way the light or a cloud is in a landscape. I remember reading a long time ago that people view art for about 3 seconds before moving on to the next thing. And tho I believe art is that guttural and it either moves you or it doesn't but if taken the time to really view a piece of art, it tells an entire story. That's one of the things I love about art and being an artist.
I also believe art is for everybody, one form or another. Sometime art becomes unaffordable to many as an artist grows. I like this kind of forum where you can speak and deal directly with the artist when you are interested in a piece of their work. I always say Support Local and Independent Artists and shop locally with small businesses. Large box stores are homogenizing America and pushing out the little guy.
